These are the eight highest-volume questions we hear before someone orders DryDock. For full shipping, return, and SDR return-chain detail, see Shipping & Returns; for anything else, get in touch.
How does the fit work — what size do I need?
DryDock is one universal size — there is no body measurement to take. The strap drapes over the toilet seat and the slim band footprint holds the silicone in place against the rim without gripping, sticking, or requiring you to sit a certain way. The shape is built around the seat contact area rather than the user, so it works across standard elongated and round bowls without adjustment.
Is the silicone hygienic and medical-grade?
Yes. The strap is made from FDA-grade silicone and USP Class VI certified — the same family of materials used in long-term implants and wound-care products. It is non-porous, body-contact safe, hypoallergenic, and free of phthalates, latex, and BPA.
A 10-second rinse under warm water is all the daily routine takes; nothing soaks in and nothing washes out.
Where is the silicone and the case sourced?
The silicone comes from a curated set of US and EU medical-supply partners, the same vendor family that supplies long-term implant-grade material. The brushed-aluminum case with an EVA-cushioned interior is built by our packaging partner to our spec. Every strap is designed and tested in the US before it ships.
How durable is it — is it shower-safe, and which soaps should I avoid?
Silicone tolerates daily shower use without degrading. Rinse with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap — that's the everyday version. Avoid alcohol-based sanitizers, bleach, and abrasive scrubbers; those can dull or micro-scratch the finish over time.
The brushed-aluminum case is wipe-clean only — do not submerge it and don't put it in the shower with the strap.
What is the "Sink-Don't-Refund" / SDR process in plain English?
SDR stands for Secure Decommissioning Return — it's the name we use for the return chain-of-custody on every order. In practice: open the box, try the strap for thirty days, and if it doesn't work for you, email us. We send a prepaid USPS First Class label. Drop the package at any USPS location. We refund the order once it lands back.
There is no shame attached to returning a product that didn't suit you — that's why we built SDR in the first place.
How long does shipping take, and how is the package discreet?
USPS First Class is included free on every US order and arrives in 3–5 business days with tracking. USPS Ground Advantage is available as an optional paid upgrade at checkout for a 2–8 day window.
The outer box is plain — no product name, no logo, no branding visible from the outside. The return address reads "RH LLC," and your billing statement shows a generic merchant name, not "DryDock."
How do I actually start a 30-day return?
Email drydock@polsia.app with the email you used at checkout (and your Stripe receipt ID starting with cs_ if you have it), or use the return form on the Shipping & Returns page. We send a prepaid USPS First Class SDR label, you drop the package at any USPS location, and the refund is processed once the order is back with us. No restocking fee, no questions.
What's in the box?
The DryDock comfort strap (medical-grade silicone, universal size, daily-contact rated), the brushed-aluminum travel case with a sublimated DryDock logo, a returns card (prepaid SDR label + 30-day refund steps), and a welcome card (quick-start directions plus a founder note from Ron Henry).
